I fell in love with storytelling as a vocalist of jazz, R&B, soul, & pop. 

 But the music industry changed. A lot. And as it evolved quickly past the age of record labels and into the age of social media, I chose to evolve too. I wanted to tell stories that could help build communities, foster human progress through the influence of advertising, and give voice to the brands that give a helping hand to Mother Earth. Not that it wasn't fun practicing virtuosity via learning the changes to every tune in the American Songbook... (Read / hear music here.)

I've voiced or acted in commercials, film, explainer videos, podcast promos, training pieces, rebrand anthems, museum tours, demo materials, you name it. I love this work deep down in my soul.

Regardless of the industry or size of the brand, its the gait of a phrase, the whisper behind a well-timed pause, and the structure of a good story that keep me loving this work after almost a decade in voiceover, and 20+ years in performing and story arts. I love to regale the depth and capacity of the human soul through story, and I believe a strong commitment to technicalities, craft, and professionalism makes them resonate with audiences.

My own story has taken me from my home state of Minnesota to the University of North Texas for a degree in jazz music, to New York City as a singer/songwriter and freelance vocalist, to Idaho as an educator, and back home to the Twin Cities.
